Concrete and Chinese

Today was a very non-descript day. I got up, went to the airport (both terminals, stupid Uber driver), and got my flight to Cancun.

I'm here for one night and I am so glad it's only one. This place is horrible. Just main roads, concrete buildings and nothing much else. I went to the store and bought some cans of soup, and then had Chinese for dinner. Now I'm back in my hostel which is basic, and the American woman in my dorm checked me in instead of the hostel staff. He seemed bewildered I had turned up.

Tomorrow is breakfast (free, one of my pre-requisites now for hostels), and then the bus to Tulum. I successfully bought my tickets at the bus station, thanks to Google Translate and a very patient member of staff.

I took no photos today; there was absolutely nothing worth documenting visually.

Mexico City to Cancun

Listened to: Spanish rock radio in my taxi from the Airport to my hostel in Cancun.

Watched: Orphan Black. I devoured three episodes in the departure lounge and on the flight.

Ate: Vegan wrap at the airport, Cantonese vegetables in Cancun. Peanuts on the plane.

Drank: water, and one free beer on the flight.
