Let's go, beaches!

I've heard a lot about the islands of Thailand. And I've heard that Koh Samui is great fun. Not Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan fun, but still fun.

And yes, I've had fun.

The first 5 days on this island I was in Chaweng Beach, on the main strip basically next door to Hooters and across from Ark Bar. But I didn't go to either. (I've still never been in a Hooters)

We were always too drunk or wiped out to  go out from the hostel. And then I spent two nights alone in an 8 bed dorm in a hostel that didn't really have the opportunity to meet people. So I didn't go to Legends, or Bar Solo, or the Green Mango. I didn't go to see the Russian Dancers at the club down the street (why is that a thing?).

What I did do was chill out and meet some funny people when they were around. I also got a fair few massages and share my birthday with someone else. What are the chances of walking into a dorm and meeting a Northern Irish girl with the same birthday as you?!

I'm currently in Fisherman's Village, which I will write about next time because it deserves a separate evaluation.

And that's really all I have to say.

18th-22nd April Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui

Watched: Money Heist, both parts. Recommend!

Read: The Rules of Life, a self help book I picked up in the airport.

Drank: Leo and Singha and a couple of cocktails

Ate: at: Backpackers, The Islander, Thai Express, and Combo. I loved going for breakfast at the Islander because I could make my own hash brown baguettes. But then the garlic bread at Backpackers also made a great breakfast.
